In the summer of 2000, 6 Boston Stores test marketed Carson Pirie Scott's Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) bear. Without fan-fair, introduction or promotion, 1,000 bears were placed in six various southeastern Wisconsin stores. The reception to this little pink, inspirational gift was amazing, and a sell-through was had in 3 weeks. The Whisper Works continues to receive e-mails and phone calls requesting more information on when, and where, this bear will be available again; and we thank you for your continued interest.
Because of the reception and success of this special item, Carson Pirie Scott has decided to place the BCRF bear into their Carson's stores, as well as Harbingers, Bergners and Boston Stores. All of the profits from the sale of this item will be donated directly to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and to the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center and we applaud the efforts of those involved.
The Whisper Works suspects that this bear will be available
sometime this fall, but please keep that under your hat…much
is still to be accomplished. Some ideas of names are Ribbons
(light pink), Faith (dark pink) and Pearl (white) and each
bear will have a hang tag with an inspiring message that
will be unique for this release. Creative minds are presently
at work so no definite decisions can be announced. We promise
to keep you posted as soon as we hear something.
