The Child Abuse Prevention Fund is a Wisconsin based organization that is affiliated with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Their goal is to raise community awareness and involvement in the protection of our young community members. The CAP Fund has an annual 4-day event called "Care-A-Van for Kids" and last year "Cappy" was introduced to the public. Thank you all for your wonderful reception of "Cappie", and of course for your giving hearts. Because of your generosity and interest, The CAP Fund experienced a sell-out before the beginning of the 4th day.
The Whisper Works was privileged to volunteer for this event last year and we were impressed with the gentle, loving qualities of all those who came. Our local radio station, WMIL FM 106 supports The CAP Fund with their 4-day event each year, and their professionalism and personality was wonderful to experience. Thank you to the wonderful entertainers who donated their time and talents, as they do each year. And a special thank you goes to Neil McCoy; we definitely enjoyed his stage presence.
This year's fun will be had from Wednesday, August 15th through Saturday, August 18th. The CAP Fund welcomes everyone to come and visit the various "Care-A-Van for Kids" Bayview, West Bend, Waukesha and Miller Park sites for the fun, music, food and auctions and you are encouraged to listen to WMIL FM 106 for more information about entertainment and to hear of the donation excitement. Many wonderful interviews and guest speakers will also be heard. If you must miss the "Care-A-Van for Kids" event this year, but would still like to purchase your 2002 "Cappie" in either teal or white, you may do so by calling The CAP Fund at 414-266-6300.
